International Shipping Rates

international shipping rates

Do you need an international shipping rate? Regardless the volume, weight and type of commodity we can provide you a very accurate rate within 24 hours. This article below will provide you some extensive details on the international shipping rate system and will help you to learn about saving charges. Beside the countries with a land border with the United States shipping to any other countries should be arranged via the two options below:

Ocean Freight:

Once you have requested an Ocean Freight rate the first question will be; Do I need a full container or less than container? The full containers are 20, 40 and 45 footer? Full container rate: For a full container rate you need to have the answers to the following questions:
- What size of container do I need?
- Can I manage the loading of the container if provided to me? Many customers believe that they can transport their goods to the nearest port for loading them into the container, but such an option does not exist because the port authorities will not allow you to go inside of the port and load the container.
- Where do I like to have my container loaded?

All the charges for a door to door service on a full container are as follows;
- Trucking of the container to the loading location
- Loading of the container, Packing of the items and Pick up
- Shipping by train from the rail Station to the Port ( if Shipment has been initiated from a Ramp)
- Ocean Freight from the Port of origin to the port destination
- Destination Port charges
- Customs Clearance and import duty at destination
- Local Trucking from the port to the final destination
- Unloading of the container and returning the empty back to the port

It is important to understand that is always cheaper to arrange each step locally. That means if you only use our service from your door to the port of destination and then arrange your destination part locally you will be saving some charges. Our international shipping containers rates also depend on the number of the containers.
Consolidation rate: Our consolidation rates are always calculated by the cubic feet. That means you will only pay for the space that you are taking and not for the full container, however it is highly recommended to use the 20 footer container if the volume of your shipment is more than 400 cubic feet.

All the charges for a door to door service on a consolidation are as follows;
- Pick up of the boxes or packages from your door and delivery to our local terminal
- Packing of the boxes
- Transportation of the cargo to our export terminal
- Ocean Freight from the Port of origin to the port destination based by the volume
- Destination Port charges based by the volume
- Customs Clearance and import duty at destination
- Local Trucking from the port to the final destination
Like the full container you will be saving charges if you manage yourself any of these steps.

Air Freight:

The air freight rate is based by the chargeable weight of the shipment. To find the chartable weight of your shipment, you should use the following concept;
- What is the actual weight of the cargo in Kg
- What is the volume/weight of the cargo
Volume/Weight= LxHxW ( inches) / 366
The highest number between these two items is the chargeable weight of your cargo.
